Caring for printed T-shirts
Practical care guidance for graphic tees, with the garment label as the final reference.
Read the garment label first. Fibre blends, dyes and print methods can require different care, so a general guide cannot replace the instructions for your item.
When the label permits machine washing, turn the T-shirt inside out and choose a gentle cycle. Wash similar colours together and avoid rubbing or scrubbing the printed area.
Check the label before using a tumble dryer. If line drying is permitted, reshape the garment gently and dry it away from prolonged direct sunlight.
Avoid placing a hot iron directly on a graphic print. Follow the label for temperature and whether ironing on the reverse is suitable. Do not use bleach unless the garment instructions explicitly allow it.
